It’s not easy, but I have to put some “ME” time in my schedule. I’m not complaining, but I haven’t touched a book in a few days and I should make more time to read. I wanted a quieter life instead of the stress of finding interesting news for members of the Guild all the time.
I try to plan one event a day, and that event can be shopping for groceries, visiting a museum, seeing a specialist or going out for a drink or a cup of joe. Sunday was the Sing-Along at Saarein Bar, which even made the papers. Monday was going to the movies, seeing Exodus, Tuesday (yesterday) seeing my rehabilitation specialist for trying on the mock-up of the new
clogs, sorry shoes. And later that evening meeting friends at the oldest Gay bar in town (since 1927) during Luna Lunettes Soirée Frivolette at ‘t Mandje – Bet van Beeren.
Today is a day of rest, enjoying the sunshine behind the windows with a large glass of coffee, watching some TV, there are still a few programs I taped and want to see. And start in the next chapter of the book I started on Sunday. I also have a lazy day ahead of me tomorrow… until nine in the evening. There’s a New Year reception at Het Tolhuis by website I Love Noord. They wondered if they would attract enough people, on Facebook alone over 250 people said they would show up. We hope to do some networking for Pink Noord and otherwise just enjoy the evening.
