The first time I stepped in this store I was overwhelmed by the smell of freshly baked bread, but also the choice they offer. ‘t Vlaams Broodhuys [The Flemish Bread House] has several stores around town and some stalls on farmers markets, mainly on Saturday.
Bread can be bought almost in every street or supermarket, but sourdough bread of this quality only at Dimitri [the owner of Vlaams Broodhuys].
BTW, you have to eat the bread the same day, or the next morning, because there are no preservatives in it, it will be as hard as a brick after a few days. Fresh bread is of course the best.
