For the 10th time the first Saturday of November is Museum Night or N8 [Nacht = Dutch for night]. In 42 museums in Amsterdam and 10 other spots around town over 200 extra performences will be held, as diverse as theater performences to specialised guide tours or behind the scene looks.

In 1626, the Dutch bought Manhattan by giving the Native Americans goods worth 60 guilders. At least, the Dutch thought they had.
