Butchers come in all shapes and sizes, but the next one has made a name for itself. Yolanda & Fred de Leeuw since 1966 on Utrechtsestraat 92. They started a butcher shop which turned into a delicatessen with a large amount of meat and meat products in them.
Since 2000 the shop is run by Arno Veenhof, a traditional trained butcher and poultry expert. It’s one of the few places in Amsterdam where you can find Japanese Wagyu, Spanish Rubio or Black Angus meat. But also when the Dutch hunting season starts, partridge, pheasant, wild boar, venison or hare.
