Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
Makes 8 servings
Prep: 5 minutes
Cook: 10 to 15 minutes
Shopping List:
- 450 gr or 1 pound spaghetti
- 6 gr or 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
- 15 gr or ¼ cup chopped parsley
- 1 gr or ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 60 ml or ¼ cup olive oil
- 55 gr or ¼ cup melted butter [or margarine]
TO MAKE:
- In a large pot with boiling salted water cook spaghetti pasta until al dente.
- Drain.
- Meanwhile, in a large skillet over low heat saute garlic, parsley, and red pepper flakes with olive oil.
- Cook until garlic turns golden in color, about 10 to 15 minutes.
- Toss pasta with garlic mixture and butter or margarine.
- Serve warm.
Note: Too spicy for your kids? Just leave out the red pepper flakes!
