La Cucina #09 – Spaghetti With Garlic And Oil

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Makes 8 servings

Prep: 5 minutes
Cook: 10 to 15 minutes

Shopping List:

  • 450 gr or 1 pound spaghetti
  • 6 gr or 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
  • 15 gr or ¼ cup chopped parsley
  • 1 gr or ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 60 ml or ¼ cup olive oil
  • 55 gr or ¼ cup melted butter [or margarine]

TO MAKE:

  1. In a large pot with boiling salted water cook spaghetti pasta until al dente.
  2. Drain.
  3. Meanwhile, in a large skillet over low heat saute garlic, parsley, and red pepper flakes with olive oil.
  4. Cook until garlic turns golden in color, about 10 to 15 minutes.
  5. Toss pasta with garlic mixture and butter or margarine.
  6. Serve warm.

Note: Too spicy for your kids? Just leave out the red pepper flakes!
