  1. Shall we open bets for which state’s gonna be the next one… and which will be the last?
Strangely enough, 5 out of the 6 states allowing same-sex marriage are close to my home province of Quebec: N. Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts and Connecticut and now New York, Iowa being the 6th one (+ Washington DC and a native tribe in Oregon. YAY!).

Rhode Island and Maryland could be the next one since they recognize same-sex marriage but don’t grant licenses yet. California is also a good contender in spite of Prop8, San Francisco being one of America’s Mecca of gay culture!

As for the last one, I’d go with Texas, Arizona, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida… mostly the south! Although, we could be in for an amazing surprise… ;)
    Cheers and Hugs!
    Jon

  3. We are so pleased. We’re registered domestic partners in our former home state of California and we were legally married in Iowa late last year. Ridiculous! But we are elated to have the news from NY, the most populous state to-date. I look forward to more and more good news (while we enjoy our already legal status from Spain)!

And it all started when the Dutch on April 1, 2001 had the first 3 marriages of same-sex couples.

Don’t hold your breath about Arizona and Utah.
