Hello boyz and girlz, it’s me Julius again! I’m staying at Peter’s place over the weekend while my keepers frolic around in Sneek, or Snits as the locals call it in Frysk.
I arrived yesterday afternoon and M, my female keeper, told Peter I didn’t feel well, I ate a lot of grass and licked the same amount of leaves… but that changed when we came back from our first walkies. I smelled something in the air, my keepers keep telling me I cost them a fortune, but Peter has the best treats! The only thing bothering me is he cuts them in four pieces, I don’t get that. He says that way they last longer since I swallow them whole. Okay, he has a point there.
This morning Peter was up before I was, that’s a change, and we walked around the canal around seven. Then he told me we would go to town, which only can mean we’re going to the Farmers Market on Nieuwmarkt and later on Noordermarkt to have coffee for him, water for me and a tosti for… Also the girlz next door will join us, one of them, Corrie, took care of me when Peter was in hospital. It also means we’re leaving the house an hour earlier than normal, I HAVE to leave my mark all over the place, but most of the time I’ll be sitting between his legs on the scooter.
When I was at Peter’s place a few weeks ago something else happened that I haven’t told you, I swallowed a small spoon, which was covered in liver-paste, yummy!! It took 4 days before it came out again, got cleaned thoroughly and is now back in the cutlery drawer. So don’t ask for a ristretto or small espresso or you’ll end up with that spoon!
And last week I fell from the stairs at home, I was a bit dazed but with some morphine I’m feeling swell. Hey I’m a dog on drugs, and it’s legal!
Wishing all my friends across the Big Pond, that includes you Bandit, Luke, Miss Truvy and The Tramp too, a wonderfull Labor Day weekend. Oops, I forgot to mention Lem’s Princess!
Woof to you later!!!
I’m glad you passed that spoon. Goodness!
