This artist’s illustration shows a newly discovered planet outside our solar system that’s so similar to Earth it might sustain life, astronomers say. The planet’s temperature is between 0º and 40ºC / 32º and 104ºF. While it is 14 times closer to its star than Earth is to the sun, the star, Gliese 581, is smaller and dimmer.
Just the thought there is a second me walking around is a bit scary…
Yes, I heard about this. Thanks for posting the details. Per the late Carl Sagan, there should be “billions” of worlds like this one. I hope so but I feel so small and insignificant. It boggles the mind though, doesn’t it?
